On June 1st, 2007 on the “Sevtopolis” square in the town of Kazanluk, the “Lyudmila Jivkova – Banner of Peace” Foundation carries out the Ninth Assembly “Banner of Peace 2007” together with the Kazanluk Municipality, “Bulgarian Rose” Foundation and the Association “With Care for the Children up to 7 .” The biggest children’s forum, dedicated to the International Child’s Day summons over 2000 children from Bulgaria, Russia, Serbia and Macedonia. The longest drawing of 1 kilometre is painted, decorating the town of Kazanluk - it spreads from “Kniaz Alexander Batemberg” boulevard to “Hristo Botev” blvd. The drawing carries the message “Peace in Europe" and is dedicated to the first anniversary of Bulgaria’s joining the European Union. A theatre festival is also organized titled “Small Children – Great Talents”. A 50-kg bell is raised above the “Sevtopolis” square – it is done by the local master founder Stefan Shishkov. The bell is unveiled by Evgenia Jivkova – deputy at the 40th National Assembly and Chairwoman of the “Lyudmila Jivkova – Banner of Peace” Foundation, and by Kazanluk’s Mayor Stefan Damyanov. Guests to the event are Ivan Gorolomov – MP, Nadezhda Zaharieva – deputy-minister of culture, Stilyan Slavov – Chairman of the Youth Parliament, the deputy-mayors of Kazanluk, and Lora Georgieva – the Rose Queen, and her runner-ups.
